A word from one of our deployed soldiers

Many of you may not know Canyon Creek’s deployed military.  As we head into the Christmas season, I thought I would ask you to remember those serving our country.  Colin Christ is one of those who will miss Christmas at home this year because he is serving our country.  Thanks and appreciation go to Colin and all of the other men and women sacrificing the holidays with their families so you and I can continue to live in a free country.  Below is a portion of an email he sent me

“Canyon Creek has definitely been in my prayers since we left.  What can I be praying for?  I can’t wait to get back home and really jump in. Thanks so much for leading a truly amazing church. 
Right now we are in the Red Sea conducting anti-piracy operations.  We island hopped all the way here from Washington, stopping in places like Tahiti, American Samoa, Saipan, Thailand, and the Maldives.  Since our last stop, we have been at sea for 3 weeks conducting ops.  Ironically, the mid-point of deployment is Christmas Eve.  What a sweet gift for the holiday!”

God bless our troops this Christmas season.  For all of you who represent our military…...THANK YOU for your sacrifice and service.
