Think before you INK!

By Pastor Di on 5/17/10

I just read in the news this morning that around 200 employees of Anytime Fitness gyms have gotten the purple company logo tattooed on their bodies to show their “company spirit.”  Anytime Fitness is even said to hire a tattoo artist for its annual conferences so that those who’d like to join in the company spirit can do so conveniently.  I think this is another fabulous example of how people should “Think before they ink!”
Although I probably WOULD get the Canyon Creek logo tattooed on me (maybe we should hire a tattoo artist for the next annual vision meeting in January?), I got to thinking about the companies whose logos I would NOT tattoo on my body if I worked for them.

Here they are, in order of bad to worst:

10. Sherwin-Williams (have you ever really LOOKED at that logo?)

9. Tampax (need I give a reason?)

8. Lehman brothers/Goldman Sachs (tied for their economic ramifications& infamy)

7. Martha Stewart Living/Harpo Productions (tied because they are similar in how horrible they are and for the women they represent)

6. WaMu (that would be like tattoing a financially catastrophic future onto yourself)

5. McDonalds (who would brand themselves with the American iconic symbol for unhealthy food that tends to lead toward obesity and heart problems?)

4. Any funeral Home

3. Walmart (Enough said)

2. BP/Enron (Your life could be in danger with that logo on your body)

1. Blimpie (Anytime you lost 70 grand on a business that business takes first place in distaste for their logo)

I’d love to hear your witty additions to my list!
