On a farm 15 miles east of Kisumu, John and Jean Kruger have established the Miwani Center, a Christian community of families who are taking in orphans, giving them a home and raising them according to Biblical values. People at the Miwani Center are learning farming and dairy raising, and with the proceeds from the farm are eventually able to purchase their own homes and lands. Orphaned children are placed in these families to be raised as if they were their own. The Miwani Center is partnering with schools, orphan outreaches and ministry to handicapped and abandoned children in Kenya.
