I grew up in a great home with loving parents and a wonderful Christian mom who introduced me to Jesus when I was around four. I had the privilege of attending private, Christian school for nine years where I received a great Christian foundation for life. As a sophomore, I attended Shorecrest High School where I got a “real education” in life and saw how many truly lost people there were all around me. It was at this time that I determined to be a living example of what a Christian was and to not allow myself to be caught up in “religion,” but to make Jesus my “lifestyle.”
I married Daryl and I like to say that it was then that the best part of my life began. I suddenly had the confidence to try new things, take a handful of college classes, talk to new people and express myself, knowing that he was there beside me, loving and supporting me in whatever I did. It is amazing what you can do when you are confident someone loves you and regularly encourages you.
We have four great kids ranging from 19 to 11 and we are trying to enjoy their growing up years amongst all the busyness and chaos that life throws at you. We are huge Sounders fans and fans of whatever soccer or cheerleading team that our children are involved in.
