I was born in Seattle, and grew-up intermittently between here and California. After high school, I went straight into the Air Force and served four-years culminating with Desert Storm/Desert Calm. I was married in my junior year at Northwest College and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Religion and Philosophy. That summer we moved to the north shore of Boston and I completed my Master of Theology degree. I stayed for four years as the Director of Marketing for Gordon-Conwell. We moved back to Seattle in 2000. Over the next four-years, I served three positions at Northwest University, ending with Vice President for Student Development, and started a new church with my close friend Dan Neary.
In 2004, we moved back to Boston, where I completed the more robust Master of Divinity Degree and pursued my PhD in Theology. Most recently, I have been a full-time Ship Chaplain in the busy and amazing Port of Boston. Now, we are back in Seattle and here at Canyon Creek! I have promised my wife that we will not move back to Boston – ever. We are delighted to be here, and I am excited about the future of this church. This staff is not interested in doing church as usual. But, like generations before us, we are ready to reform the church and to live courageously for God. I am passionate about building community and Christian discipleship. I whole-heartedly believe in the church’s potential to impact the world, change lives, and build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
